For every website that you will want to have, then you will need to have a certain amount of files to make the site up.
The files will mainly comprise of HTML pages that will make up your website, depending on the type of site you want to create you will also have graphics, sound files and a host of other miscellaneous file types.
In order that these appear when your domain name is typed in, they need to be placed on a server that will bring up these files whenever they are called for (for example on the urbanprodigy.net system whenever a domain name is entered, the server will bring up the index.html file to show to the visitor).
Your web space is the amount of space you have been allocated on our servers for these files, the size of this web space depends on the package you choose.
